Based in Wolverhampton, this newly created Commercial Finance Analyst role presents a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact within a supportive and evolving organisation.
 
This is the perfect career move for a part-qualified or recently qualified finance professional who is eager to take ownership, enhance existing reporting tools, and contribute to commercial and strategic decision-making. You’ll have the scope to help shape the role while partnering closely with commercial and operational teams to drive performance and growth.
 
Your responsibilities as the Commercial Finance Analyst will include:
  • Work closely with commercial teams to assess performance, pricing, profitability, and revenue trends.
  • Develop and manage financial models and dashboards for forecasting, budgeting, and planning.
  • Deliver clear, data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Track KPIs and provide meaningful variance analysis with actionable recommendations.
  • Support scenario modelling, margin reviews, and investment evaluations.
  • Collaborate with trading, marketing, and operations to align financial and business goals.
  • Improve reporting tools, analytics processes, and overall data efficiency.
  • Contribute to monthly business reviews and board presentations with insightful commentary.
 
To be considered for the role of Commercial Finance Analyst, we are looking for:
  • Qualified / part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or working towards.
  • Strong analytical and Excel skills, handling large volumes of data
  • Experience with financial modelling and BI tools is advantageous. Power BI dashboarding experience would be ideal.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence and build relationships across departments.
  • Proven ability to interpret data and translate it into meaningful business insights.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and adaptable to change with a passion for adding value.
