Sheridan Maine is looking for a Corporate Tax Manager who is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of corporate tax compliance, planning, and strategy to ensure the company meets its tax obligations while optimizing tax efficiency. This role requires in-depth knowledge of local and international tax laws, strong analytical skills, and the ability to lead and coordinate tax-related activities across multiple jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee the preparation, review, and filing of corporate tax returns in compliance with local tax regulations and deadlines.

  • Develop and implement effective tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize cash flow.

  • Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, staying up-to-date with changes and communicating their impact to management.

  • Lead and manage relationships with external tax advisors, auditors, and regulatory authorities.

  • Conduct tax research and provide expert advice on complex tax issues.

  • Collaborate with finance, legal, and business teams to support tax-efficient business structures and transactions.

  • Review and monitor tax provisions and deferred tax balances for accurate financial reporting.

  • Support tax audits and resolve any tax-related disputes or inquiries.

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior tax staff and foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

  • Prepare and present tax reports, analyses, and recommendations to senior management.


Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field.

  • A professional tax qualification.

  • Proven experience in corporate tax.

  • Strong knowledge of corporate tax legislation, compliance requirements, and international tax principles.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in tax software. 

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively across teams.
