Sheridan Maine is looking for a highly motivated Audit Senior or Audit Manager to join an accountancy practice in Harrow. This is a client-facing role offering responsibility, variety, and clear opportunities for progression. You will lead audits from planning through to completion, manage client relationships, and play an integral role in developing junior team members.

Key Responsibilities as Audit Senior / Audit Manager:

  • Lead and manage statutory audits and other assurance engagements from planning through to final review.
  • Oversee a portfolio of clients, ensuring high standards of audit quality and compliance.
  • Review working papers and audit files prepared by junior staff, providing clear feedback and guidance.
  • Ensure audits are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with firm standards.
  • Build strong client relationships and act as the key point of contact throughout the audit process.
  • Identify areas for improvement and add value through client advisory and internal controls insight.
  • Mentor and support the development of junior audit staff, including performance reviews and on-the-job training.
  • Work closely with the partners and senior management team on business development and internal initiatives.

     

The Successful Audit Senior / Audit Manager Will Possess:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
  • 2+ years of experience in a UK practice.
  • Excellent understanding of UK accounting standards and audit regulations.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Confident communicator, both written and verbal.
  • Experience supervising or managing a team is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with audit software.
