Sheridan Maine is seeking a Qualified Audit and Accounts Manager to join an astonoshing accountancy firm in Kent. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced audit professional to lead audit engagements, manage client accounts, and mentor junior staff.

You will work closely with a variety of clients, ensuring high-quality audit and accounts preparation while contributing to business growth.

Key Responsibilities as a Qualified Audit and Accounts Manager:
  • Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion.
  • Prepare and review statutory accounts for a range of entities.
  • Manage your own client portfolio and build strong professional relationships.
  • Supervise, train, and support junior and semi-senior staff members.
  • Ensure compliance with auditing standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with clients, regulators, and other external parties as necessary.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the practice.

The successful Qualified Audit and Accounts Manager must possess:
  • ACA or ACCA qualified with proven audit and accounts management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS accounting standards.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficient in audit software and accounting packages such as CaseWare, Xero, or Sage.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
  • A proactive and client-focused approach to work.
  • 2+ years of experience in a UK practice.
