Sheridan Maine is advertising on behalf of a growing and dynamic accountancy practice to recruit a Senior Manager – Audit & Accounts. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced audit professional to manage a diverse portfolio of clients across Charity, Not-for-Profit, and commercial sectors, while progressing towards full Directorship and responsibility as an employee Responsible Individual (RI).
The role offers exposure to a wide variety of client types including Limited Companies (including groups), Sole Traders, Partnerships, and Charities, and involves both hands-on audit work and team management.

Key responsibilities of the Senior Manager – Audit & Accounts include:
- Managing and delivering audit and accounts assignments across Charity, Not-for-Profit, and commercial clients.
- Taking the lead on audit assignments from planning through to completion.
- Reviewing audit files ahead of Responsible Individual (RI) review.
- Supervising, mentoring, and managing junior team members.
- Preparing and reviewing draft corporation tax and business tax computations, including supporting analysis.
- Delivering timely and effective communication to clients.
- Assisting Associates and Directors with ad-hoc projects.
- Progressing to employee RI status and taking ownership of a portfolio of clients.
- ACA or ACCA qualified with at least 6 years’ practice experience (qualification by experience considered).
- Experience in, or a willingness to work in, the Charity and Not-for-Profit sector.
- Proven experience managing audits, including planning, preparation, completion, and client delivery.
- Strong technical knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards and International Standards for Auditing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Commercial awareness and ability to build trusted client relationships.
- Experience using CCH and MyWorkPapers is preferred but not essential.
